Farid Nazifi is a visual storyteller whose work explores the intersection of image, narrative, and technology. With a background in visual communications and a long-standing interest in photography and moving image, he approaches visual media as a language—one capable of expressing identity, emotion, and the subtleties of everyday life.
Born in Mashhad, Iran, in 24.June.1994 Farid developed an early connection to visual culture through drawing, photography, and digital media. He went on to study Visual Communication at the Ferdows Institute of Higher Education, where he completed his Bachelor’s degree and deepened his understanding of composition, typography, visual theory, and storytelling. His academic years shaped his perspective on how images function not only as aesthetic objects, but also as tools for reflection, documentation, and communication.
After completing his studies, Farid continued to refine his creative voice through independent visual exploration across photography, video, and design. His work is guided by curiosity and observation, often focusing on atmosphere, structure, and the quiet narratives embedded in everyday environments. He is interested in how visual language can translate personal experiences into shared meaning, and how still and moving images can shape memory and perception.
Now based in Leipzig, Germany, Farid continues to develop his artistic practice while engaging with new cultural and visual contexts. Living between languages and environments has influenced his perspective, encouraging a thoughtful and evolving approach to image-making. He is particularly drawn to visual composition, light, and the emotional tone of imagery, and he sees visual storytelling as a continuous process of learning, experimentation, and refinement.
Farid Nazifi’s work is rooted in the belief that images carry both clarity and mystery. Through visual exploration and a commitment to growth, he seeks to create work that is attentive, expressive, and grounded in a strong sense of visual awareness.
